The Padres
The Padres are in town tonight hoping to see some sunshine so that Brian Giles can get a good look at what the Pirates traded him for. Oliver Perez and Chan Ho Park lock horns tonight, with Perez looking to continue his recent success and Park just trying not to suck (his ERA is decent, but as Charlie points out, he loves him some PetCo Park). This four day run against the Brewers has been fantastic and I hope it continues as long as it can. Some of my friends are telling me that I haven't been enjoying it enough, as my blog posts have been toned down in their positivism during this streak, but I'm honestly just trying to stay realistic and provide a perspective different than Lanny, Greg, Steve, and Bob have been giving. Seeing the Pirates play like this makes me as happy as anyone. I'm ecstatic that Jose Castillo has taken it upon himself to prove people like me wrong, I love watching the good Oliver Perez pitch, I love watching Jason Bay mash, etc. etc.
Anyways, as for tonight's game, I'm going to go be a college student tonight so I may not catch much of this one, but they're going to play it. The weather isn't awful here in the 'Burgh and I think they can squeeze it in.
