Playoff open thread

1:05- A's @ Twins. Esteban Loaiza and Boof Bonser. This pitching matchup is a far cry from Zito and Santana. Though the A's have quite a reputation as post-season chokers, this is a must win for Minnesota.

4:05- Dodgers @ Mets. Derek Lowe and John Maine. El Duque, who isn't even that good, is out for the NLDS. They've put one Oliver Perez on the DS roster for El Duque. Lowe has been good recently and he's got one hell of a post-season pedigree (the only pitcher ever to win the decisive game in the DL, LCS, and World Series in one year). The Subway Series derailment starts this afternoon.

8:05- Tigers @ Yankees. Justin Verlander and Mike Mussina. Verlander is running on fumes and the Yankees lineup is going to devour him tonight.
