Friday round up

Perez is sorry. Of course he is. Sorry doesn't help, but maybe seeing us play better without him in the rotation will.

We go to Milwaukee this weekend. Milwaukee has decided that rather than let their prospects waste away in AAA where they have neck problems from their heads beating off the ceiling, they'd rather play them now. Hence Junior Spivey is a National and Rickie Weeks is up. Too bad Matt Lawton and Kip Wells are still Pirates with Ryan Doumit rides the bench and Ian Snell sits in the pen. This trip to Milwaukee makes back to back road series' against teams I'm insanely jealous of because they're doing what we should be doing, only they're doing it the right was and I'm not so sure about us. Of couse Duke goes tomorrow and that's something to be excited about, I hope.

Of course releasing Bobby Bradley is not. That's one can't-miss pitching prospect that's gone by the wayside, with two already on the DL. So we keep people like Amezaga and Restovich on the 40-man, but we release Bradley. I probably don't have to tell you how I feel about that. And McLouth is the second Pirate to have a stay that lasted less that 5 days. Doing stuff like that drives me crazy.
