Pedro Alvarez update

Jim Callis of Baseball America was on the Baseball Digest Daily podcast today talking with Eric SanInocencio of BDD. Callis comes in around the 19 minute mark and starts talking about Pedro Alvarez at the 23 minute mark. It's definitely worth your time to listen to all of it, but Callis thinks pretty similarly to what we've been hearing: Boras is going to negotiate down to the deadline because he can, and Alvarez is going to sign because the Pirates have to sign him and he can't go back to school. There's still some interesting stuff in there about the compensatory pick, so check it out.
