A new day

Today is the first day in recent memory that Jason Bay is not a Pittsburgh Pirate. That's sad. It's also the first day in a while that we don't have Chris Duffy or Franquellis Osoria on the roster. That's not sad. At least three and maybe four new Pirates will be making their Pirate debut at Wrigley Field today, with Andy LaRoche playing third base and batting fifth, Brandon Moss in right field and batting sixth, and Jeff Karstens pitching. With Nady and now Bay gone, Nate McLouth and Ryan Doumit will bat in the third and fourth slots of the order. Of course, the Pirate game that I'm the most excited to actually watch since the opener (besides the Yankees' series, I guess), is an afternoon game, so we're all stuck with radio and game cast. Unless you happen to be my mom, who's at Wrigley today and rubbing it in every chance she gets.
