Game 110: Cubs 5 Pirates 1

And today the reminder came that while the future of the Pittsburgh Pirates has gotten considerably brighter in the past ten days, the present might be pretty bleak. Pearce, Moss, and LaRoche didn't provide much offense again today (though LaRoche hit a ball to the warning track into the wind). In fact, no one provided much offense besides Ryan Doumit, who had three of our eight hits. That's a pretty good recipe for a loss, and that's what we got against the Cubs today. There's not a whole lot else to say about this one at this point.

Meanwhile this Jason Bay fellow has a three-run homer and two more runs scored tonight. Things are working out quite nicely for him so far.
