A game in a vacuum

Roy Oswalt and Zach Duke face off tonight at PNC in a pitching matchup that would've been awesome in 2005 but seriously lacks luster this year. The Pirates hope to score tonight since they haven't done that in a while the Astros need a win to keep from being pushed completely out of contention by the streaking Cubs. That's going to happen sooner or later, but I presume that they waited until at least the All-Star break before being written off.

There is some kind of other sporting event in town tonight, so the approximate attendance in the stands at this game should be about eight. It would be higher if they promised to play the Pens' game on the Jumobtron. As per the usual, I'll be involved in the FanHouse liveblog of the hockey game tonight, so if you're looking for someone to talk to during the game, head on over there and help drown out the insufferable Wings' fans that have been popping up lately.
