RIP Buck O'Neil

Baseball lost one of it's great ambassadors yesterday when Buck O'Neil died at the age of 94. You probably know all about Buck, about how he "became an overnight star at age 82" in Ken Burns "Baseball" documentary, about how he somehow missed being voted into the Hall of Fame by one single vote when 16 other Negro Leaguers were voted in last year, about how he appeared in a minor league all star game this summer at age 92. I could go on forever. I only have one thing to add, he threw the most memorable ceremonial first pitch I've ever seen in person. RIP, Buck. Baseball will miss you.
