Playoff open thread

I'm going to post one of these for the playoffs every day, you guys can use them as you please to discuss the games of the day. I'm going to stamp it for midnight since the games go on all day, scroll down below it to look for new posts.

1:00- A's @ Twins. Zito and Santana make this the matchup of the day, which sucks since it's the early game and most people have work or class. It's on ESPN if your fortunate enough to not have something else to do (note: I didn't say better, there's not much better than this).

4:00- Cardinals @ Padres. You know what? Maybe Zito and Santana isn't the matchup of the day. Maybe Carpenter and Peavy is. Rest assured that I will be flying through my lab to try and make it back for most of this one. Also on ESPN.

8:00- Tigers @ Yankees. Go figure, FOX picks the Yankees for the primetime game with two fantastic games going on in the afternoon. This one features a pitching matchup you could've seen at PNC Park this weekend (Nate Robertson and Chien-Ming Wang... don't tell me Wang is good, he's outpitched his peripherals by a mile this year). It also will feature Joe Buck and Tim McCarver. Ugh. On the bright side, McCarver will say "Wang" a lot and Jim Leyland will probably be smoking like a fiend by the fifth inning.
