Pirates opinions from people closer to the Pirates than me

In the comments thread below, krusecontrol updates us on how all of the traded Buccos are doing in short stints in their new colors:

Craiggers' #'s so far in the Bronx:5-for-16, 2 doubles, 2 runs, 3 RBI, .750 OPS

Kip's had 1 start w/Texas and pitches tonight. He got a win, going 5
innings.

Roberto Hernandez has allowed 2 ER in 2 IP for the Mets so far.Good ole
Ollie Perez ... 1 start for Norfolk -- 2 2/3 innings, SEVEN runs (2 HR), 4 BB, 4
K & a WHIP of 3.75!

And The Mayor is off to a terrible start for Detroit.
4-for-21, 2 runs, double, HR, 4 RBI. And if you take away his first game w/the
Tigers it's downright dreadful since: 2-for-16 (.125), double, 2 RBI.

Meanwhile, the Stats Geek talks about Duffy and Nady and how their gloves may help them fit into the lineup. I still don't think Duff should be batting leadoff right now, but I do agree that we have nothing to lose by giving them a chance.

Seeing the words "Top Pick Lincoln Injured" isn't really surprising with our pitching prospect history, but it's still kind of scary. It doesn't seem serious, but Lincoln has had a very long year this year given how little he's pitched in the past. We'd probably be better off to be very careful with him for the rest of this season.

Yesterday being Monday, there was a Dejan Chat at the PG's site where he tackles a ton of Bucco related issues, as usual.
