Braves 3 Pirates 2

There are obvious storylines from this game, Maholm's good start (7 innings, 4 Ks, 5 hits, 2 ER), Bay's bad game (pop-up with the bases loaded and two outs in the seventh, error in the very next inning that became the winning run), Bay and Bautista's two out bases loaded pop-ups, etc., but there was one thing that happened in this game below the radar that affected the outcome more than anything. With less than two outs tonight the Pirates were 0-for-18 with no walks. I'm not sure I've ever seen a game where a team had zero players reach base with less than two outs (besides a perfect game, which I've never technically seen), but it happened tonight. When you only give yourself an out an inning, not many good things can happen.
