Phillies 6 Pirates 2

Tell me if you've heard this one before: the Pirates gave up a bunch of runs in the first inning and failed to come back. It first happened in the sixth game of the year and it's been happening pretty consistently in the 83 game interim. Paul Maholm was again the culprit tonight, getting hit hard early and often. By the time I saw any of the game, it was already 6-1 so I paid very little attention to the rest of the game from there on out. In an amusing coincidence, my dad looked at Bay at the plate and said "Man, when's the last time he hit a home..." which was followed with Bay's 21st homer of the year to dead center, just over Aaron Rowand's leaping glove. Beyond that, well, we got shut down by Corey Freaking Lidle for 6 innings, what else is there to say?
