Pirates 16 D'Backs 2- The day it clicked

We've been waiting all year for "it" to click. Every night, win or lose, it seems like the Buccos are one hit away from making the game into a blow out. Today, it happened. Bases loaded, no outs, how many runs would the Pirates get? None? One, maybe two if lucky? Wrong, five. So much for Matt Lawton not hitting lefties, he hit a grand slam off of one today. So much for Ty Wigginton not hitting anybody, he went 3-for-3 with a homer today and four runs scored today. Pretty much everyone I called out for not hitting earlier today came through. Kip had another good start. In the 9th inning, everything Kerry Lightenberg through was like a beach ball. Lawton double, Wilson singled, Bay doubled, and Ward homered on consecutive pitches. In the last two games they've out-hit the D'Backs 31 to 8. All I need to do is call for Jack Wilson and Oliver Perez's head and this team might never lose again. OK, that's an exaggeration, but it certainly was nice to see (lots of) things fall in the right direction for us. I can't even put into words what happened in the 8th and 9th today (12 runs total in those two innings alone). I know this won't continue, but we can say the bats are officially back.
