Giants 8 Pirates 3

Nothing like a sweet to put things into perspective. After a week that started so promisingly with two shutouts of the Astros, a sweep from at the hands of the AARP, I mean San Francisco Giants is a harsh reminder of how bad this team is capable of being. After two days of getting no clutch hits (although last night JT Snow robbed the Buccos on two plays that could have been clutch hits with maybe anyone else playing first base), Pirates simply didn't get any hits today, except for Daryle Ward. Vogelsong, Grabow, and especially Perez lost their handle on the strike zone today, walking 7 hitters, three of whom scored. All the positives we saw on Monday from Perez went right out the window today, with his five walks, six hits, six runs, and only one strike out today in five laborious innings. It may have been the pajama uniforms, but it looks to me like there's something really wrong with Ollie. The only positive from today is that we now have someone on the team with more home runs and the same amount of RBIs on the season as A-Rod had on TUESDAY. Actually when you think about it, that's not a positive thing at all seeing as how today is May 1st.
