Another acquisition from Colorado

I don't know who Dave Littlefield knows in Colorado, but a lot of ex-Rockies end up here (Amezaga, Stynes). Today we acquired Michael Restovich from them for a player to be named. It makes sense in the sense that we can send down Ray Sadler (who responded to the news with his first big league homer in todays currently in progress game). It makes no sense in that we have to give up a player (whoever it is) to get a guy to fill a spot that we have people in the minors capable of filling. Making a move for the sake of making a move is an early symptom of Cam Bonifay disease, just like the Benito trade.

We're currently down 2-1 to the Giants, only mustering two hits so far off of Noah Lowry (Jack Wilson just doubled so things may be looking up). The other hit was Ray Sadler's first big league hit and first big league homer. Somehow Lowry, who's been getting crushed lately and has lost his last three decisions, has 7 Ks with stuff that Bob Walk describes as "similar to Dave Williams". Not a good sign.
